Programmes for children, families & community.
From our daily nursery sessions to family workshops and community outreach, everything we do at Little Beebles is designed to help children thrive and families flourish in Praze-an-Beeble.
Nursery Play Sessions
Our flagship daily nursery sessions form the heart of Little Beebles. We offer flexible morning and afternoon slots throughout the school term for children aged 2–5 years. Each session blends structured Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) activities with plenty of child-led free play, outdoor exploration, storytelling, music and creative arts.
Stay & Play Parent Mornings
Stay & Play is a weekly open session where parents, grandparents and carers join their children (aged 0–5) for guided play and conversation. Led by experienced early years practitioners, each session introduces simple play techniques you can replicate at home, covering themes like language development, fine motor skills and social confidence. Hot drinks, friendly faces and a warm welcome guaranteed.
Parenting Workshops
Our termly programme of informal parenting workshops helps local families build confidence and practical skills in supporting their child's development. Topics include speech and language development, managing transitions (such as starting school), healthy eating on a budget, positive behaviour strategies, and understanding the EYFS curriculum. Workshops are co-facilitated by qualified early years practitioners and visiting specialists.
Community Outreach & Inclusion
We actively reach into the broader Praze-an-Beeble community to ensure that no family is left behind. This includes home visits for families who face barriers to attending our sessions, referrals to local support services, collaboration with Crowan Primary School on transition planning, and partnership working with health visitors, social workers and the local children's centre network in Camborne.
School Transition Support
The move from pre-school to Reception is one of the most significant transitions a young child will make. We work closely with Crowan Primary School and other local schools to make this transition as smooth and joyful as possible. This includes transition visits, sharing developmental records (with parent consent), a dedicated Summer Term programme focusing on school-readiness skills, and tailored one-to-one support for children with additional needs.
Volunteer & Fundraising Programme
As an entirely volunteer-led charity, we depend on the goodwill and hard work of our community. Our volunteer programme offers flexible roles to suit all circumstances — from a few hours of administrative support to hands-on session assistance. We also organise an annual programme of community fundraising events, from cake sales to sponsored walks, which both raise essential funds and strengthen the bonds between Little Beebles and the people of Praze-an-Beeble.
